This extra long whip extends your tracking range even further. This antenna magnet is also larger and more powerful to ensure your antenna doesn't go anywhere. Using an NMO mount antenna cut to the frequency that the Garmin Alpha and Astro uses will give you the best range.

Tuning this antenna: This antenna is cut and tuned for 153 MHz and will perform well for Garmin, however it allows the customer the ability to fine tune their antennas using an SWR antenna analyzer to achieve a best case scenario SWR. We suggest to leave the antenna uncut as Garmin devices perform best at 153/154 MHz, but the option is definitely available!
